Twitter "automated link shortener" makes links simple and instant

Twitter today announces the launch of automatic link shortner.

Many Twitter users have been demanding this new service. After the user has composed the Tweet and hits the “Tweet” button, it will automatically shorten the link so that it only takes up 19 characters, meaning that one needs not to be concerned about fitting it within the 140 character limit.
